About Katy J.
Born with words in her bones and a book always in hand, Katy J. Schroeder has been crafting stories since she was young. Raised in the heart of the Midwest, she now holds a master’s degree in communication from Indiana State University and a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. With over two decades of experience teaching college-level writing and communication, her greatest joy remains the messy and magical process of writing.
Katy J’s writing is fueled by a passion for diverse, empathetic, and thought-provoking stories. She believes that every reader deserves to see themselves in the pages of a book, and her dream is to pay book magic forward to readers.
